Before & After

Ganhei essa cômoda da minha prima Flávia e ela estava meio esquecida na garagem.Depois de ler / assistir vários videos explicativos resolvi reformá-la. Não foi fácil :) ! Depois de lixá-la usei esta técnica aqui pra dar à comoda uma aparência de ''envelhecida''... Não vejo a hora de começar novos projetos!

This is a very sturdy dresser I was given by my cousin Flávia. It was almost forgotten in our garage and it was only after the great tutorials I`ve been reading here and there I decided to give it a try and give the dresser a new look. It wasn`t easy :) !I sanded it and used a technique taught here to make it look ''old''( It`s in Portuguese but I guess anyone can follow the steps just by looking at the images) . Looking forward to new projects now!
The chair is also wearing a new color- It used to be in a dark wood color.

A good surprise on flickr

I came across Cris Couto's page on flickr and I am enchanted! I immediately e-mailed her and asked more about her work. She says she` s been working with clay for 10 years now and each piece she makes is unique- they may not be the same color or hue due to the natural variations in building, glazing and kiln firing the clay.
